High School Musical

My friend Jessica and I took our girls to see this on Aug. 1. Ivy had the time of her life. Afterwards we even hung out in the alley to get autographs. The whole next week I kept hearing about what cool day it was.
Last night Ivy went to premiere party for 2. Once again had a great time. My child is most definetly obsessed. We have 4 shirts now, and a backpack. We need to find a lunchbox. Has anyone seen one? Heres a pic.

It's a bear!

Tennessee pictures

Still catching everyone up

We gave our verdict on the trial on Fri. July 13. I was set to leave on vacation Sat. July 14. Vacation had been planned since Jan. We cut it close but I made it.
On Fri. I got home from court at about 2:00 pm. The phone was ringing by 2:15. It was crazy. Over the next 12 hours I had 3 reporters show up here, and about 25 phone calls. I did end up talking to the ones that actually showed up here. It's much easier to avoid the phone than the front door. Especially since I left it open! Sat. morning we left for Tennessee. I had about 100 more messages on my machine while we were gone. Still haven't had a chance to call them back. Hmmmmmm- I'm not going to.
I have learned that the media is never exactly accurate, and I would hate to be even a little famous. I like my little circle here.
I'm going to try to attatch some pictures from vacation as my next post, we'll see how it goes. If they are not there- I coouldn't get it done easily.

I am here- and alive

It's been a really long time since I have posted!!!
I don't know how to update everyone on the last 5 months.So- this will be pretty short and to the point. I'll try harder to update too. But I've said that plenty of times before. Life gets away from you sometimes.
Back to March-
I ended up as a juror on a federal trial. It lasted from March 19 to July 13. I went from working part-time to more than full-time. It was a huge adjustment. The trial took time from my already busy life, and there were times I hated it. But- in retrospect I'm really glad that I got the opportunity. I learned so much, and definitely stepped outside my box. Sometimes I believe I'm actually capable of so much more than I actually do.
I like my life, I'm comfortable, but there is always that part of me thinking I could do a lot more.
Another good thing about the trial is it helped me not dwell on this wait time. I hardly thought about China at all. There just wasn't time. I have now caught up on the latest news, and am just as obsessed as before.
